Those wings came up pretty damn fine actually.
You should include something in the photo to give us an idea of scale (like a pen or something) because I suspect it's quite small which impresses me greatly.
I really like the wings. I also like the color variation on the carapace and tail barb.
The only critique I have is for a bit of shading wash on the green bits.
I just finished reading the Barimeaeus Trilogy and this, with the exception of the semi-organic weapon, fits right in visually.
@ Lee: I'll try and get a scale post up this weekend
@Arkonbey..hmm I'll have a look around in the ink/wash department. Thanks for the critique :)
Sometimes I go with a darker green and highlight it with this one..but a wash will probably be a bit easier on these small critters.
Whoa, these are the new Gargoyle models too?
Not too bad! :)
@ TAS: yep, 5th ed :)
Finally plastic ones hurray!
Have you done any painting lately?
Hmm, the new models look really, really nice. Probably a good thing i'm not in one of those 'Nid moods atm.
Nah, haven't painted anything as of late. Been so flat out with work sadly enough :(
Although, i'm debating if i'm going to do another ' re-structure' of my Blog again to include additional hobby related things that still require a more, well, hands on approach *nods*

Hmm, while it's on my mind, do you have any pics of the Gargoyle still it's individual pieces?
Interested to see what it looks like pre-assembly *nods*

I don't have any pre-assembly pics of the painted parts. I did however find a pic of the sprues:
unpainted Sprue
I need to restructure the blog too this summer. I'm thinking of changing to a white background and..dumdumdum..a decent banner.
Mmmm, such pretty sprues lol. Might actually have to invest in a box of the gargoyles now later on in the far future.
Ewwww, white background!! lol

Howdy fellow Nid player!
really funny that we live only a few blocks apart (parelflat) and I didn't even know that there was a 40k player so nearby :)
Just restarted after a hiatus of a few years to build up my nid force. And might i say, those are damn nifty models. Looking forward to seeing more pictures
Hi Chris,
I think we've already met, even more so, I've been at your home ;)
You're a friend of Rene aren't you?
I've been living here for 4 years, it's been at least that long ago since me, my brother (and iirc a friend) were at your place.
Good time to start up again :)
After next week there wíll be more pictures!
greets,
Arjan
I know we've met, just never knew you lived so nearby ;)
I'm indeed a friend of René.
Fancy playing some more 40k? I can use some training and nid versus nid might give some nice insights in nid tactics :)
cheers,
Chris
