Disturbed @ Amsterdam

So I've been to the Disturbed concert at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam and it was in one word: Awesome!

If you get a bit tired of the drumsolo, skip to 3.00 or something where the intro for Down with the sickness starts and listen to the 'crowd burn' they did..breaking it off for a sec.

There was a lot of moshing going on, but I couldn't find a youtube movie of it :(

@ Maarten: yeah..but without flailing my arms around or punching people..because that's just lame ánd gets your arms broken. And about Mtv unplugged: sweeeet! Where did you find it? I'm gonna try and get my parent's lp player to work (again) next weekend.

@ Deb: yes it was! Disturbed is on very high rotation on my pc. Especially last week.

They're selling brand new LPs at Media Markt and Saturn now. But I just bought two Beatles albums of Markplaats ;) (I already had the blue one, but I guess that one now belongs to my father again :))

hmm I guess that'll be another 2 years wait then.

I also saw footage of Rock am Ring (Germany) 2008 where they performed, that was really awesome..you couldn't see the end of the crowd.

've been a Disturbed fan for years... but by god was this an awful concert. If you listen at the end of this little speech to the vocals you'll hear how off key he was. All night! Anything which he growled / spoke.. was fine.. but when he sang.. my gods... I've seen the Celine Dion version of ACDC's all night long, and that is probably the only other occurrence of such a slaughtering of what are normally really good songs! Never ever again will I see these live! They were truly awful

hmm maybe I was too busy enjoying the show to listen to his off-key voice haha. I just enjoyed the aspect of a huge crowd going all out on the music and had a great time. Good thing that there are always the on-key cd's I guess.

I checked your site too, good to see most of your life's turning out to be good. It reminds me how fortunate I still am being able to have a good relationship with my family. It was humbling.
