MOLDLINES of hell

Ok I've been busy with moldlines for a while now. I just finished my 3 warrior racks. In all honesty I can say that removing moldlines from Nid models is a hell of a lot harder than 'de-molding' marines. With nids you got all these strange curves and corners where you want the moldlines removed.

But as said..the warrior racks are done so they can be painted in the base colors/primer colors. That is..black for the carapace & claws which I use as a primer as well as as a base color. And white for the rest because the paint sticks better to a primed model.

Now to finish removing moldlines on some gaunts..(argh) and genestealers. The metal ones have less moldlines as far as I can see. Just have to check em out again.

Maybe ..just maybe I get around to actually painting something this weekend.

salt works fine too.
oh and sugar in yoghurt.

and mixing choco pasta and peanut butter...

I guess it was just a random typing while you were eating :P

Tomorrow I plan to search & destroy remaining moldlines on my metal models. Oh and probably some study.

Heh, yes, yes search and destroy all mold lines!!

And umm.. No.. I had some oyster sauce with a few drops of tobassco sauce added to give it a bit of a kick, worked really nicely.

Hi, was some time since I popped in here, sorry...

Mold-lines are indeed incredibly evil... I haye ´em! I understand your ´nidz-lines are not fun, I had a look at a friends ´nidz and I would not like to clean them.
I´ve found my Orks to be pretty easy on the other hand, like cleaning Beakies, which ain´t that bad.

The other 40k players in my area looks funny at me when I mention mould lines by the way. Out of perhaps twenty players, I´m the only one really filing them off, most others don´t even know it´s it´s possible, it seems... *roll-eyes*...
Only one other friend is really doing it. I don´t understand it, I feel *sick* when I see them on painted models..! ;)

Good luck with those Warriors and a Happy New Year!

heh, yeah mold lines are evil, Ive done my fair share of removal today alone... Hell I get disgusted when I see them on random test minis. Unless the mini itself will see future use in the army, I wont remove the lines, but by goodness, they look horrid!

Marines arent that bad at all, Sisters are a pain due to the fact they arent plastic, but ugh, half the fantasy range I swear is evil if Chaos Marauder parts are any indication!!
