Painting in progress..

I found some Bleached Bone again. I watered it down..but a bit too much. But I did manage to make a decent mix between BBone & Bubonic Brown. I did highlight stage 1 for my Broodlord..and I might even be happy with it.

I also worked on a marine that will be crawling from under a tank hatch. The broodlord will be standing on top of the hatch. One problem was that the marine was kinda messed up when I started on it. But I think I managed to make him look half decent.

I don't think I will be painting much the coming week. Busy with study, major housewarming etc. Next weekend we will be away to a bungalow park with the parents. But after that I'm at my parents place for a week or so and should have plenty of time to paint/play. *must...get...digicam*.

Now if only I get near a store that sells Xenology...*grumpff*

Heh, just think about it this way, give it a few days and your Bleached Bone will start to die again :P

This lil scenic base for your Broodlord sounds very interesting, i can imagine a crushed marine under a piece of metal while the Broodlord growls and stands on him, Yesss, powerful image indeed.

Heh, I should be able to get the Modular Immolator Turret done within the next few days since the magnets i have and attaching them to the turret is alot easier than I thought it was going to be. With the bits all prep'd, its just a case of taking pics per step, write it up and what not. Next stage will pretty much be magnet attachment, at least into the weapon holes.

Heh, Ill have Xenology before you do :P

you already had Xenology didn't you? Or was it one of those 'on lay by's '

Well..I checked the old codex again yesterday..and whaddayouknow..made ANOTHER mistake. Made the wrong mixes. Damnit. I shouldn't start painting without having the 3rd ed codex at hand. oh well..I'll just finish my BL the way I'm doing it now. It'll look okay. My Carni will be done properly though. That is: bubonic brown, 50/50 bubonic/bestial, 50/50 bubonic/bbone, bbone..and if reallly necessary some white ..but I don't think so.

red: chaos black, scab red, red gore, blood red.

well..that's cause I didn't start with the 'eavy metal way'
Only recently tried to start it.

But I didn't have the book on the table..so I painted what I thought was the right way..and 'mixed' things up.
...it probably was the cold I've got atm.

So you started with your own way of painting up your 'Nids only to go use 'eavy metal's way?

Hmmm... i probably would have stuck with your own way....

my own way in the beginning was...red gore & bleached bone. And details with basic other colors.
no highlighting anywhere.

so yeah I changed tactics. I don't mind that you can see a change over the range of my miniatures..and I'm to lazy to repaint half of my army.

as in DE-> Dark Eldar ..box.

so yes. Unpainted - not glued. even in frame!!!

You will still have to do the moldline removal yourself. Just go into the garden, grab a chair, a knife..some moldlines and start removing and enjoying the sun.

Oooh nice.. Even more bits to play with.. Yes, I am greatly honored.. Heh, I just tend to watch something on the pc while doing mold line removal, like, veronica mars for instance. And UGH, still got like 7 more eps to go before the end of the season, then i can stick them all to cd and get close to 8 Gig worth of memory back for other tv series and the butt load of Season 2 episodes for Veronica Mars (even though it sounds weird from what Erwin told me).
