Good and bad news

I spray painted a white base coat on ALL of my remaining 40k plastic racks (just like model airplanes, everything is in racks), roughly 10€ off paint. So that's progress.

But while trying to grab a mouthcap..my Orljonok model airplane which was still work in progress came crashing down from over 2m high...wing broke off at gluepoint and some other stuff, I'll have to see how good I'll be able to fix it.
I think I haven't cursed as loud as today in a long while..

I'm back into painting stuff now for my bloodbowl team.

I was never any good in the first place but, boy, a fifteen year gap certainly reduces your skills!

Just be patient and practice there's a universe (a world sounds so small) of difference between the first models I painted and how things look 7 years later.

I do expect to see some pictures of the team.

I might give bloodbowl a try too.

oh, man. That bites.

Did it fall in slow motion?

@ Arkonbey: completely matrix style, you could hear the echo's of my NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (*translated of course*)

There míght just be a little positive thing about the whole thing though. Due to the fall, it kinda got busted open a bit along the vertical glueing line and there was still the problem that one of the engines got pushed ínside the plane earlier on where I couldn't reach it anymore. Now I'm pondering if it will be possible to open it up far enough so I can finally retrieve that engine and fix that too.

For some reason that really cracked me up.

So, what IS "Noooooooooo!" in Dutch, anyway?

Well, things like that happen to everyone. For me it's usually the complete bits box that loses balance and tips all over the floor or some parts with fresh paint/glue on that drop on the floor or on my clothes ...

Something else: I'm moving to Groningen this week. Is there a place to play GW tabletop in Groningen, a store or a gaming club?

@ El_Duderino
Unfortunately we don't have a real GW with a place to play. There is however a gaming club (all kinds of games) called Rabenhaupt (link!).
I don't know how good/bad your Dutch is but they've got gaming nights every thursday and sunday evening at 8pm at the Pelsterstraat 25, Groningen. They do however eventually require a membership fee.

The store in which you can buy all your gaming needs is the WirWar in the Oude Kijk in 't Jatstraat 40.

Next to that you're always welcome to play a game at my place, just let me know here or by mail to arjanbeens at gmail dot com.

Well, that's certainly a motivation to finally learn Dutch (I'm going to study in English) :D

I will certainly call in on you once I managed to paint my stuff (it's a real shame how lazy I was), but before I can paint I have to move in my new flat first (this weekend)and then we'll see whether I load my lasgun, oil my chainaxe or reanimate my broodlord :D
